There is absolutely no feeling like waking up in the morning, pressing the button on the coffee machine…. and then….. Nothing!!
HACK 1 - PREVENTION AND PREPERATION
Be prepared by educating yourself on addiction so that you can educate others to prevent it.
Talk to your kids / teens about the consequences of using substances and the importance of making healthy choices.
Make sure you have ‘light’ in your ‘darkness’
It’s easy to feel a bit more optimistic about ‘load shedding’ when you have some sort of light…. instead of being stuck in darkness!!
HACK 2 – HAVE RESOURCES AVAILABLE
Find a local substance abuse treatment centre and enquire about addiction treatment & available facilities.
